Accessible Marketplace

In 2019, we decided to turn a simple dream into reality, to build a place where no one would feel left out because of their disability. That dream took shape as a two-storey shopping complex, but with a difference: every inch of it was designed for full accessibility.

We built a sturdy ramp reaching all the way to the top floor, so wheelchairs could glide easily from one level to another. We made sure the washroom was accessible too, because dignity and comfort should never be an afterthought.

Today, over 20 businesses call this complex home. Among them are two entrepreneurs with disabilities who run their shops with confidence, serve their customers with pride, and move freely throughout the building. They are not just surviving in business, they are thriving.

Some might see this as a small achievement, a drop of water in the ocean. But we know that little drops, when they gather, become a mighty ocean. This ramp doesn’t just make life easier for persons with disabilities; it also benefits every able-bodied customer and tenant who uses it.

In a country where electricity supply can be unreliable, the ramp ensures that movement never depends on a working elevator. It’s a simple structure with a powerful message: when we remove barriers for some, we create a better world for all.
